Fair music

Since its very first year in 2008 when the Trevor Davis Remi Harris Trio played to great acclaim, The Mortimer Country Food Fair has been known for its great music.

In 2009, and 2010  the ever popular Whalebone have delighted fairgoers with their accoustic re-arrangements of popular songs.

For the 2011 fair we were delighted to welcome newcomers  Kate Thomas and Dave Luke  who delighted fairgoers with their eclectic song choices. Listening to Kate sing 'Kiss Me' in the hot July sunshine brought out the romantic in even the most die-hard romance phobes.

For 2012 we have secured the services of Presteigne's finest Little Rumba, in a new line up which also includes Dave Luke, who has played with them on many occasions including on their last two recordings. If you haven't yet heard them I advise you to visit their website where you  can listen to some of their music and buy their CD's ( including their 2012 release 'Strange Tales from the Arab Spring. Simply superb you will find yourself humming their songs all the way home.

Later in the afternoon Norrie Davies will be playing at the food fair for the first time. Norrie is well known locally for her many activities - Café owner and event organiser, painter and also musician. Norrie plays an original French Musette Accordion, so expect the La Vie en Rose to be well and truly underway in Brampton Bryan.
